Shredding, Electronic Recycling Events Set In Bensalem

The events next month will be held at the Public Works building on Hulmeville Road.

BENSALEM, PA — If your spring cleaning got put off until autumn, Bensalem Township has a couple of upcoming events scheduled that could help.

The township will be hosting a paper shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 19, and a chance to recycle unwanted electronics on Oct. 21-26.

The shredding event will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Public Works building at 3800 Hulmeville Rd. It is open to Bensalem residents only and those dropping off documents for shredding will be asked to show identification.

No documents from commercial businesses will be allowed.

Public safety professionals say shredding old, sensitive documents is a good way to keep them out of the hands of would-be identity thieves, who can use them to steal your personal information.
