St. Patrick's Day DUI Checkpoints Planned In Lower Bucks
State Police Trevose will conduct the holiday DUI checkpoint Saturday night into Sunday at an undisclosed location.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —State Police will target drunk drivers in Lower Bucks County over the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
The Pennsylvania State Police said its Trevose barracks in Bensalem Township will conduct DUI checkpoints from 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16, to 3 a.m. Sunday, March 17.
"We urge people not to drink and drive and utilize a designated driver if celebrating this weekend," State Police said in a statement to Patch.

Troopers from the Trevose barracks will man the sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location.
State Police will stop vehicles briefly at the checkpoint to observe drivers for behaviors normally associated with drug or alcohol impairment.

“The goal of a sobriety checkpoint is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related fatal and serious crashes, and to reduce the number of DUI drivers on Pennsylvania’s highway,” State Police said.
