Street Sweeping Starts In Bensalem Township

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The township will launch its 2023 street-sweeping project Monday, scheduling 24 weeks of work to last through Sept. 15.

Sweeping will be done Monday thru Friday, township officials said.

Township officials ask that vehicles and trash cans be kept off the streets whenever possible on the weeks when the sweeper is scheduled. This will allow equipment to clean curb to curb.

The schedule is subject to change.

Here is the schedule:

WEEK 1 (April 3-7) —Hansell Drive, Knights Road, Byberry Road, Annina Lane, Tucker Road, Essington Way section, Belmont Ridge section, Rockhill Drive, Columbia Drive, Woodsview Drive, Hidden Valley section, Country Village section, Apple Way, White Oak Lane. The township is closed Friday, April 7.

WEEK 2 (April 10-14) —Trevose section, Oakford section, Linconia section, and Concord Park section.

WEEK 3 (April 17-21) —Nottingham section, Tillman Drive, Century Lane, Murray Avenue, Stanwood section, Atlantic Avenue, Asbury Avenue, Brown Avenue, and Virginia Avenue.

WEEK 4 (April 24-28) —Springdale section, Neshaminy Valley section.

WEEK 5 (May 1-5) —Neshaminy Valley section, Barnsleigh West section, Belmont Hills section.

WEEK 6 (May 8-12) —Newportville section, Harvest Run West section, Barnsleigh East section, Salem Point Section.

WEEK 7 (May 15-19) —Village Green section, Eddington section, Upper Cornwells Heights section.

WEEK 8 (May 22-26) —Wellington Estates section, Brookwood section, Executive Park section, Valley Meadows Section.

WEEK 9 (May 29-June 2) —Woodridge East section (Hollandale), Glen Ashton Farms section, The Clusters section, Timber Lane section, The Coves section, Mill Creek Farms section. The township is closed Monday, May 29, for Memorial Day.

WEEK 10 (June 5-9) —Andalusia West section, Rywall Park section, Lower Cornwells Heights section.

WEEK 11 (June 12-16) —Industrial Park, Clive Avenue, Moore Avenue, Center Avenue, etc.

WEEK 12 (June 19-23) —Andalusia East section, Echo Beach section, Torresdale Manor section, Lower Andalusia section.

WEEK 13 (June 26-30) —Hansell Drive, Knights Road, Byberry Road, Annina Lane, Tucker Road, Essington Way Section, Belmont Ridge section, Rockhill Drive, Columbia Drive, Woodsview Drive, Hidden Valley section, Country Village section, Apple Way, White Oak Lane.

WEEK 14 (July 3-7) —Trevose section, Oakford section, Linconia section, and Concord Park section. The township is closed Monday, and Tuesday July 4, for the Independence Day Holiday.

WEEK 20 (Aug. 14-18) —Wellington Estates section, Brookwood section, Executive Park section, Valley Meadows section.

WEEK 21 (Aug. 21-25) —Woodridge East section, Glen Ashton Farms section, The Clusters section, Timber Lane section, The Coves section, Mill Creek Farms section.

WEEK 22 (Aug. 28-Sept. 1) —Andalusia West section, Rywall Park section, Lower Cornwells Height section.

WEEK 23 (Sept. 4-8) —Industrial Park, Clive Avenue, Moore Avenue, Center Avenue, etc. The township is closed on Monday, Sept. 4, for Labor Day.

WEEK 24 (Sept. 11-15) —Andalusia East section, Echo Beach section, Torresdale Manor section, Lower Andalusia section.
