Turnpike Traffic To Slow For Interchange Work This Weekend

The E-ZPass lane closures, at the Neshaminy Falls interchange, will start on Friday night, the PA Turnpike Commission said.

BENSALEM, PA — Drivers on the turnpike should be prepared for stop-and-go traffic in Bucks County this weekend.

The eastbound Express E-ZPass lanes will be closed starting Friday at the Neshaminy Falls interchange, Exit 353, in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced. The closures, for maintenance on overhead tolling equipment, will run from Friday, Nov. 2, at 9 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 5 at 5 a.m.

The commission warned motorists to expect slow-moving or stopped traffic in the area. Delays are particularly likely during peak travel times, between 10 a.m.-7 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone driving eastbound at the interchange will have to use the conventional E-ZPass lanes during the closures. Those lanes, on the left side of the interchange, have a speed limit of 5 m.p.h., the commission reminded drivers.

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
