Unity Week Spreads Message Of Diversity In Bensalem Township
The week-long Bensalem Township event promotes unity, diversity, and culture at various religious institutions. It runs through Friday.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Bensalem Township is holding Unity Week to promote diversity and unity.
The week-long event, which runs through Friday, is sponsored by the Building a Better Bensalem Together Coalition.
The township council touted the event at its recent meetings.

The events include:
Monday, Jan. 16 —7 p.m., Linconia Tabernacle

Tuesday, Jan. 17 —9:30 a.m., Bensalem United Methodist Church; 7 p.m., Shirnathji Haveli Temple
Wednesday, Jan. 18 —Noon, Mongkoltepmunee/Buddhist Temple; 6:30 p.m., Faith Unity Islamic Center
Thursday, Jan. 19 —Noon, Bensalem AME Church; 6:30 p.m., Congregation Tifereth Israel Synagogue
Friday, Jan. 20 —11:30 a.m., St. Ephrem's RC Church
Refreshments and/or food will be provided at most events. Some places are asking residents to remove their shoes before they enter.
