Wanted Bristol Man Arrested After Ramming Bristol, Bensalem Cop Cars

A Bristol man with two active arrest warrants was taken into custody Wednesday after attempting to flee police in a vehicle and on foot, according to Bensalem Township Police.

Police said Christopher Hess, 20, of Bristol, is facing multiple charges, including drug and robbery charges, stemming from two previous incidents and now faces more charges after being arrested Wednesday, Dec. 14, according to police and court records.

Bensalem and Bristol Township Police attempted to stop a vehicle Hess was driving Wednesday, police said.

Hess rammed two police vehicles and attempted to feel police in the vehicle and on foot, police said.

Police caught Hess after a short foot chase, according to police.

Police said Hess was arraigned Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge Michael Gallagher and remanded to the Bucks County Jail in lieu of $550,000 bail from all three cases combined.

The new charges for Hess are two felony counts of aggravated assault; fleeing or attempting to elude police; resisting arrest; and recklessly endangering another person.

The charges Hess was wanted on were from incidents in August and October, court records show.

The August incident led to felony manufacture, deliver, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; felony criminal use of a communication facility; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of a controlled substance.

The October incident ended with charges of felony robbery, threat of immediate serious injury; possession of a weapon; terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another; simple assault; disorderly conduct, engage in fighting; and harassment, subjecting others to physical contact.
