Women Nabbed In $1.3M Fentanyl Bust At Bensalem Hotel: Police

BENSALEM, PA - Two Kansas women were nabbed by Bensalem police and the FBI in a massive drug bust last week in which over $1.3 million in fentanyl was recovered, Bensalem police said.

The three-month investigation culminated in the Thursday arrest of Korey Mancera, 30, and Veronica Wheeler, 26, both of Kansas City, Kansas. Mancera and Wheeler were both charged with manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance and related offenses, Bensalem police said.

Four kilos of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $1.3 million dollars were recovered in the bust at a Bensalem hotel, police said.

Mancera and Wheeler were arraigned by District Justice Frank Peranteau, Sr. and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $1,000,000 bail.

Separately, Bensalem police, the FBI and members of the Bucks/Montgomery County Safe Streets Task Force also executed a search warrant at a home on the 3200 block of Hurley Street in Philadelphia where police seized 332 grams of crack cocaine, 375 grams of hydro, 454 grams of cocaine, 175 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 252 grams of methamphetamine and 89 Xanax pills with a total street value of approximately $150,000, police said.

The bust stemmed from surveillance conducted in the parking lot of a local Bensalem store, Bensalem police said. The bust resulted in the arrest of Jonathan Vazquez, 29, and Angel Molina, 26, both of Philadelphia.

Also seized was $37,000 in U.S. currency, an assault rifle and four handguns, police said.

Vasquez and Molina were both charged with manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance and related offenses. They were arraigned by District Justice Frank Peranteau, Sr. and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $1,000,000 bail.

“The Bensalem Township Police Department would like to thank the FBI, the Bucks/Montgomery County Safe Streets Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department for their ongoing assistance and commitment to rid our streets of these dangerous drugs and drug dealers,” Bensalem police said of the busts.
