Located along the Schuylkill River, Laurel Hill is comprised of two of the nation's most historic garden cemeteries —Laurel Hill East (est. 1836) and Laurel Hill West (est. 1869). Both offer cemetery and funeral services for both humans and pets.
The event will offer pet-related history walking tours of Laurel Hill East, where one of Women’s Animal Center’s early founders is buried, and offer fun and interactive activity stations such as build your own pup cups with Salty Paws Rittenhouse, make an enrichment toy for a shelter pet, pet and people caricatures, plus samples of dog treats provided by Saint Rocco’s Treats.

In addition, attendees will be able to meet Women’s Animal Center representatives and learn more about adoptable pets and their full scope of pet services.
“Women’s Animal Center assists thousands of animals and people in need each and every year but receives no federal, state or local funding to do so,” said Karen D. Lash, fundraising and marketing director for the non-profit organization. “We rely upon the generosity of our community to support our work, so to have a tremendous community partner like Laurel Hill is truly invaluable to us, and to our animals. And the Woof Wag + Walk will further align our missions and welcome our community of dog owners and their beloved four-legged friends for a wonderful day of interactive activities on the historic Laurel Hill grounds.”
All four-legged friends are welcome at this pet-friendly event, but they must be socialized to be
around other animals and leashed at all times.
The registration fee is $25 per pet. All proceeds directly benefit Women’s Animal Center. This is a rain-or-shine event.
