Albert B. Murphy, III Named Senior Vice President and Head of Private Banking at Bryn Mawr Trust

BRYN MAWR, Pa., May 31, 2012 – Bryn Mawr Trust is pleased to announce that Albert B. Murphy, III has joined the bank as a Senior Vice President and Head of Private Banking. Mr. Murphy will play a vital role in providing the comprehensive financial services of Bryn Mawr Trust to professionals, business owners, affluent individuals and their families.

Ted Peters, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, “I’m very pleased that Al has decided to join us. He brings a wealth of experience in the financial services industry and will be a valuable addition to Private Banking”. 

Mr. Murphy began his career at Philadelphia National Bank and has more than 35 years of banking and investment industry experience and was most recently a Principal and Partner at PMG Advisors, LLC (PMGA), an employee-owned, independent registered investment advisor based in suburban Philadelphia as well as Emerald Fixed Income Advisers, LLC, a Lancaster, PA based investment management firm established in 2006 as a joint venture between PMGA and Emerald Asset Management. He has been involved in a number of community and business activities, including Radnor Township’s Planning Commission, Radnor Township Strategic Planning, Community College of Philadelphia, CCP Foundation, and Rosemont Partners, a private equity fund based in suburban Philadelphia.
