Anxiety in Children - A Pep Talk for Parents: Gladwyne Montessori Parent Speaker Series - Thursday, January 15 at 7 p.m.

GLADWYNE (January 5) Gladwyne Montessori, an independent school for children age 2 through 8th grade, will hold its next Parent Speaker Series event on Thursday, January 15 at 7 p.m.

Anxiety in Children: A Pep Talk for Parents will be led by Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard, lead psychologist at CHOP’s The Anxiety Behaviors Clinic. Dr. Dahlsgaard, a regular Healthy Kids blogger on Philly.com, will discuss stress in children of all ages and give tips and tools for parents.

  • Tuesday, February 24 – Picky Eating: Why It’s the Worst and What You Can Do About It with Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard, director of CHOP’s The Picky Eaters Clinic. How to help your children become good, successful, adventurous eaters. A psychologist gives you the 411.

Building upon its longstanding reputation serving as a resource to families, Gladwyne Montessori is hosting six evening workshops throughout the school year featuring outside experts sharing their knowledge on a variety of parenting topics. The speaker series is part of Gladwyne Montessori’s new Teacher Education Program (TEP), which seeks to ensure that adults discover the joy of learning in a Montessori environment.

These timely and informative events take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gladwyne Montessori, 920 Youngsford Road, Gladwyne. The speaker series workshops are open to the public and will cost $35 to attend. You can register online at gladwyne.org/tep.
