Arrest Made In 2015 Bryn Mawr Burglary Case: Police
Blood sample leads to arrest of a man who entered 20-year-old girl's bedroom, police said.

Lower Merrion Township Police said a man has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2015 Bryn Mawr burglary.
According to court documents, Drew Mowbray Shaw, 33, of Lafayette Hill, has been charged with felony burglary; felony criminal trespassing, entering a structure; theft by unlawful taking, moveable property, criminal attempt; and criminal mischief, damaging property.
Shaw was remanded to the Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $10,000 court documents show. Shaw is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Henry J. Schireson on Nov. 8, court records show.

According to police, Shaw was arrested for a 2015 burglary in Bryn Mawr, where homeowner was at home with his 20-year-old daughter.
Police said the daughter was in her bedroom on the second floor with the lights off when she heard glass breaking, then heard heavy footsteps in the hallway outside her bedroom.

Her bedroom door then opened and the light was turned on, police said. In her doorway she saw a white male standing inside the entrance to her bedroom, police said.
The male looked at her and said, “Oh, sorry. I’ll leave you be,” according to police.
Police said the male turned off the light and shut the bedroom door. A short time later, she heard the bells on the front door ringing as they do when someone opens the door, police said.
Officers collected blood from Shaw being inured breaking into the house as evidence at the scene, police said.
Pennsylvania State Police analyzed the sample and confirmed the actor was Shaw, police said.
