Arrest Made In Bryn Mawr Audi Theft: Radnor Police

A Philadelphia man has been charged with various crimes after police say he stole an Audi in Bryn Mawr on July 1.

BRYN MAWR, PA — A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with crimes related to a stolen Audi from a Bryn Mawr parking lot, Radnor Police said.

Jawan Lamont Stewart, 22, of Philadelphia was charged with felony theft by unlawful taking, felony receiving stolen property, and unauthorized use of vehicles, police said.

Stewart is accused of stealing a 2015 Audi A4 Quattro from a parking lot on the 800 block of Conestoga Road in Bryn Mawr sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m on Monday, July 1.

Police said the vehicle was reported missing, but was later found by Philadelphia Police with Stewart inside.

According to police, Stewart visited a Rosemont business looking for help changing a flat tire on his car.

Detectives reviewed security footage from neighbors which revealed Stewart walking in the area, police said.

Stewart was arrested July 18 and remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail.

He is slated for an Aug. 1 preliminary hearing.
