New Music Minister at St. Luke

St. Luke United Methodist Church will be welcoming a new Minister of Music in the fall of 2013. Matthew Phillips-English will begin leading the choir, playing organ and keyboards, starting in September. He will also play a few Sundays during the summer, starting mid-July.

Mr. Phillips-English is currently the organist at Prospect Park United Methodist Church where he has been serving for 10 years. He is excited to come to St. Luke to help the church develop music programs that appeal to younger generations, while not alienating earlier generations of church goers.

Matthew graduated from West Chester University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music and a minor in Dance Performance. He is Artistic Director and choreographer for the Viviana Theater Company.
