According to Niche, the 2017 Best Women's Colleges ranking is based on key statistics and student reviews using data from the U.S. Department of Education. The top-ranked women's colleges offer an exceptional college experience in a student community comprised only of female students, the organization said.

The colleges are graded on several factors: academics, value, diversity, campus, athletics, party scene, professors, location, dorms, campus food, student life, and safety. Bryn Mawr scored at least an A- in all categories, save for "party scene," where it scored a C+. But college isn't all about partying anyway, right? Bryn Mawr's overall score from Niche is A+.

Check out a review from a Bryn Mawr sophomore that Niche used to highlight the college:

I could go on about how much I love Bryn Mawr forever. The faculty are laudible (sic), the academics are challenging and enthralling, and its reputation as well as its connections to Haverford, Swarthmore, and Penn give it the resources of a large school while maintaining its unique character. The community is what drew me here, everyone is so passionate, compassionate, and enthusiastic about being who they are.

Bryn Mawr College is led in the rankings by Barnard, Smith, Wellesley, and Scripps colleges.
