Bryn Mawr College President Among 2016's Women On The Move
Kimberly Wright Cassidy became the college's ninth president in 2014.
Bryn Mawr College President Kim Cassidy took the college's helm in Febraury 2014 and her hard work has landed her among Main Line Today's 2016 Women on the Move.
Cassidy, who holds both a master’s degree and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a bachelor’s degree with distinction in psychology from Swarthmore College, started at Bryn Mawr in 1993 as a faculty member. She went on to become the college's Provost in 2007. In July 2013, she was named Interim President until he appointment as president in February 2014.
Some of Cassidy's highlights at the college include facilitating curricular renewal in collaboration with faculty leaders, the development of the College’s new interdisciplinary 360° courses, the introduction of new academic programs, including an International Studies major, and the advancement of digital initiatives within the classroom, the college's website says.

"Central to all these initiatives," the college's website says, "has been Cassidy’s unwavering support of the scholar/teacher model in which faculty research and the instruction of students are inextricably bound."
