Bryn Mawr Native Sworn In As Assistant Delco DA

Bryn Mawr's Brittany Green joined the Delaware County District Attorney's Office Thursday as the newest Assistant District Attorney.

BRYN MAWR, PA – The Delaware County District Attorney's office welcomed a Bryn Mawr native as a new Assistant District Attorney.

On Thursday, District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland announced Brittany Green, of Bryn Mawr, was sworn-in as an Assistant District Attorney for the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office to represent the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Joined by family members, Copeland, and members of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, Green was sworn-in by the Honorable President Judge Kevin F. Kelly of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.

"We are very fortunate to have a dedicated team of prosecutors here in the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office who serve within the criminal justice system with dignity, integrity, and distinction," Copeland said. "We are pleased to welcome Ms. Green, who undoubtedly will make an outstanding member of our team. I confident the citizens of Delaware County will greatly benefit from her hard work, dedication and professionalism.”

Green was born and raised in Bryn Mawr.

After graduating from the Grier School in Central Pennsylvania, Green earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Drexel University. She remained at Drexel University to attend the Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she received her juris doctorate in 2018.

During her time in law school, Green worked for the Honorable Risa Vetri Ferman of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.

She later joined the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office as a legal intern in May 2017.
