Closures Planned On Airdale Road For Overpass Repairs

Airdale Road in Bryn Mawr will be closed for 10 weeks overnight for railroad overpass repairs, according to an announcement from Lower Merion Township.

According to information from Lower Merion Township, beginning this Thursday, Sept. 1, Amtrak will be repairing the overpass bridge over Airdale Road between Montgomery and Lancaster Avenues.

The work is scheduled to be done in the overnight hours between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays, the township said.

A detour will be in place during working hours.

"There could be additional times when the detour will be in effect outside of the planned working hours," the township said in its announcement.
