Conestoga Road Tunnel Now Closed Through Mid December
The tunnel will be closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week through mid December as crews install a new LED light system.

BRYN MAWR, PA — Drivers in the Bryn Mawr are will want to avoid the Conestoga Road tunnel for the next month and a half or so due to a 24/7 closure.
Radnor Township said the tunnel, located in the Garrett Hill neighborhood of Bryn Mawr, closed Wednesday to allow crews to install a new LED lighting system in the tunnel.
The tunnel will be closed through Monday, Dec. 14 between South Roberts Road and Garrett Avenue.

Not only is the tunnel closed to vehicles, it's also closed to pedestrians.
The new LED system will bring the tunnel's lighting up to current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation standards

According to the township, the lighting system, to be installed by Miller Bros., will provide better safety conditions in the tunnel.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time when traveling in the area and to follow detour signage.
