Teachers focus on the students who are doing in-person instruction at school, and will not be changing lesson plans for students who stay home. Students will have to make up any assessments or assignments they miss.

All extracurricular activities at Harriton slated for this week have been suspended, as well.

District and county health officials are conducting contact tracing.

The district is urging students and their families get vaccinated and to use caution when gathering for the holidays.

"Failure to practice mitigation efforts over Winter Break will likely lead to additional cases once students return," the district said. "Additional outbreaks could jeopardize our ability to continue in-person instruction and activities."
