Day of Learning

Physical Therapy Assistant

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, 95 Physical Therapy professionals participated in Harcum's second annual Clinician Appreciation Day. The PTA Program Clinician Appreciation day is a full day of continuing education seminars, planned by PTA faculty and Professional Studies, primarily to thank our dedicated clinical instructors, acknowledging their role in the clinical education of our students. The PTA program extends an additional "Thank you" to one of our clinical partners, Moss Rehab/Einstein Health, for sponsoring the wonderful lunch during the event!

Attendees participated in a full day of learning with a choice of ten courses that provided eight continuing education units to participants. Topics were diverse and relevant to clinicians across all practice areas. Attendee comments were overwhelmingly positive about the content, as well as about the speaker expertise and the quality of the educational offerings.

The attendees were comprised of three full-time faculty, 59 Clinical Instructors, and 34 PT/PTAs. The PTA faculty was thrilled to welcome back the 65 Harcum alumni in attendance!

The PTA faculty opened and ended the day by warmly welcoming all of the attendees to our campus, with a special and sincere thank you to all of our clinical educators in attendance. The PTA and Professional Studies departments are looking forward to welcoming even more of our graduates and clinical instructors at next year's event.
