Bryn Mawr Film Institute gets literary in April with its Author! Author! Series, which features two film screenings with complementary lectures by authors who have written about the films. On Tuesday, April 3, Ben Taylor, author of Apocalypse on the Set: Nine Disastrous Film Productions, will give an in-person talk about the making of Werner Herzog’s Fitzcarraldo at 7:30 pm, followed by a 35mm screening of the film at 8:30 pm. The following Tuesday, April 10, see a filmed discussion with Susan Orlean (The Orchid Thief) about her recent bestseller Rin Tin Tin: The Life and the Legend at 7:30 pm, followed by a screening of the 1947 canine classic, The Return of Rin Tin Tin, at 8:30 pm.
Tickets for these Bryn Mawr Film Institute screenings are $10 General Admission, $7 for Seniors age 65 and over and Students with I.D., and $5 for Bryn Mawr Film Institute members.
