Earth Day Celebration: Trees are TREEmendous!

Rescheduled due to rain for May 6th

Make Riverbend a part of your Earth Day celebration! What better place is there to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment? We are recognizing this special day, first celebrated in 1970, by hosting a special event: Trees are Treemendous! sponsored by Shreiner Tree Care.

There will be something for everyone to enjoy so mark your calendar and plan to join us.

· Hike with local botanist, John Gruber

· “Why Care about Trees?” presentation by forester, Julianne Schieffer

·  Break out sessions with tree experts like Steve Shreiner about pruning and selecting the right tree for the right location

· Plant a tree in our reforestation area

· Showings of “The Old Oak Tree” - a short film about the ecosystem supported by one tree

· Create a leaf mobile

· A raffle with prizes valued at over $400

· Story time, refreshments and more!
