In order to learn more about enrolling at the Bryn Mawr Campus of Harcum College, 314 prospective students and guests attended the Fall Open House on Saturday, November 15.

This was the best turnout ever for a college-sponsored Open House, according to Rachel Bowen, Executive Director of Enrollment Management.

“According to the response cards that our guests completed, the tour and the student panel were their favorite parts of their day,” Bowen said. “We had to offer the student panel twice because it was such a popular program.”

“Our student leaders deserve a lot of credit for all their help Saturday,” Urick Lewis, Dean of Student Life said. “They did an excellent job as panelists and guiding the campus tours.”

Bowen also said that the Admissions office received 15 applications Saturday. Campus guests also included students who had already been accepted but wanted to be on campus to determine if the College was a good fit for them.

She also wished to acknowledge the team effort involved in pulling off a big event like Saturday’s. “The whole campus pitched in,” Bowen said. “It was a really big crowd, and in order to make everyone feel welcome and have a good experience, we needed everyone to help out. And employees certainly did that, reaching out to students, offering assistance and guidance all morning long.”

The next Open House on the Bryn Mawr Campus is scheduled for April 11, 2015.
