Feldman Shepherd Attorneys File Civil Suit in Food Truck Explosion
Philadelphia personal injury attorneys file lawsuit on behalf of family of food truck explosion victims

Feldman Shepherd attorneys Alan M. Feldman, Daniel J. Mann, and Edward S. Goldis have filed a lawsuit on behalf of Uliser Galdamez, whose mother and sister, Olga and Jaylin Galdamez, suffered fatal burn injuries after a deteriorating propane tank installed in their food truck ruptured. The resulting violent explosion and fire in Philadelphia’s Feltonville neighborhood on July 1, 2014, engulfed the 25-foot-long La Parrillada Chapina food truck, causing a street-wide fireball which also caused injury to eleven bystanders.
The Complaint filed by the Feldman Shepherd firm lists as defendants U-Haul, which regularly refilled the outdated propane tanks, and Eri Vending Cart, Inc., the company responsible for designing and installing the food truck kitchen. According to Feldman, “Companies like U-Haul that fill propane tanks are obligated by federal law to inspect the tanks and make certain they are safe for use. The catastrophic explosion that occurred here is what happens when those requirements are ignored.”
All inquiries should be directed to lead attorney Alan M. Feldman at 215-567-8300. The suit was filed in The Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County under case number 150601947.
