Felonies Filed In Bryn Mawr Home Burglary: Police

A Haverford man is accused of breaking into a Bryn Mawr home over the weekend and is now facing charges, including two felonies.

BRYN MAWR, PA — Radnor Police have arrested and charged a man with burglary and related crimes in connection with a recent home break-in in Bryn Mawr.

Police said Peter Ferguson, 63, of Haverford, was arrested and charged with felony burglary, felony criminal trespass, and criminal mischief.

Police accuse Ferguson of breaking into a home on the 900 block Weldon Lane in the Bryn Mawr section of Radnor sometime over the weekend.

On Aug. 3, officers were called to the home and found a side door smashed open and the resident reported that sometime overnight the home was entered.

Officers canvassed the area and developed Ferguson as a suspect, police said.

In an interview with police, Ferguson told investigators he smashed the door and went into the home, police said.

Ferguson was remanded on 10 percent of $20,000 bail.

He's slated for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 15.
