Five Varsity Teams Receive Academic Awards at Harcum

Bryn Mawr, PA – July 21, 2016–The NJCAA announced that five varsity sports at Harcum College received Academic Team Awards based on the players' collective GPAs for the 2015-16 academic year. Team academic awards are conferred annually by the NJCAA and are conferred nationwide.

The varsity teams and their GPAs are as follows: Men's Basketball: 3.01; Women's Basketball: 3.34; Men's Soccer: 3.23; Women's Soccer: 3.22; and Women's Volleyball: 3.48.

Both Men's Basketball and Women's Volleyball also won Regional and Division championships and competed in the national playoffs this year as well.

"This year's success on and off the field speaks to a tremendous level of dedication to our student-athletes by their coaches and faculty and from our student-athletes," said Harcum President Jon Jay DeTemple. "My sincere congratulations to all our athletes and to the entire Athletics staff on this accomplishment."
