Former Main Line Commissioner Charged With Indecent Assault Of 103-Year-Old Woman

Reports say the woman is a dementia patient.

Former Radnor Township Commissioner William Spingler has been charged with three counts of indecent assault of a person with a mental disability, according to multiple reports.

Spingler allegedly was found sexually assaulting a 103-year-old woman with dementia at at the Wayne Nursing Home, with police reporting the assaults occurred on Dec. 15, Dec. 17, and Dec. 23, Main Line Media News reports.

Springler allegedly had his hand on the patient's chest, according to reports.

Springler was arraigned Dec. 23 and released on his own recognizance with bail set at $10,000, according to Philly.com.

His preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 5.

Spingler stepped down from his commissioner position in July 2015.
