Gladwyne Bank Robbed, Suspect Arrested: Authorities

The man made off with an undisclosed amount money but was later arrested in Interstate 76, according authorities in Lower Merion Township.

GLADWYNE, PA – A man suspected of robbing a Gladwyne PNC bank branch Tuesday was arrested, according to Lower Merion Township officials. The bank on the 900 block of Youngsford Road was robbed in the late morning Tuesday of an undetermined amount of cash, according to officials.

The suspect fled but was later caught and arrested without incident on Interstate 76 east near Martin Luther King Boulevard in Philadelphia, officials said

Lower Merion, Philadelphia, and Pennsylvania State police all were part of the pursuit and arrest, officials said. According to officials the bank teller was able to identify the suspect as the bank robber.

The suspect's identity has not been released, officials said.

No one was hurt in the incident.
