Harcum College To Host Free Lecture
Dr. Keith Weigelt will be delivering a lecture entitled "Managing Your Money"
Are you managing your money or does your money manage you? Managing your money--no matter how much money you make or have--is a discipline everyone can learn, according to Dr. Keith Weigelt, the Marks-Darivoff Family Professor of Management at UPenn’s Wharton School of Business. Everyone can do better money management with some proper coaching.
On Thursday, November 5 at 1 p.m., Dr. Weigelt will present a free lecture “Managing Your Money” in Harcum College’s Kevin D. Marlo Little Theatre. Everyone in the Harcum community--students, faculty, staff, and alumni--is welcome to attend in order to learn more about managing your money more effectively. The event is free and open to the public. Door prizes will be awarded and light refreshments served.
Dr. Weigelt has done an extraordinary amount of outreach in Philadelphia, teaching financial literacy courses to boost the business acumen and critical thinking of participants while improving their financial planning and leadership skills. He’ll talk about the value of financial literacy as it relates to life planning. “Having the knowledge of how to manage your money in a responsible way is a really important life skill,” Weigelt believes, “no matter what type of background you come from.”
