Harcum Girls' Volleyball Team Wins District Title

Team set to advance to national championships this November.

Bryn Mawr, PA – November 9, 2015 – The Women’s Volleyball Team at Harcum College defeated the Community College of Rhode Island in three sets to clinch the NJCAA Division II District L Title on Saturday, November 7. The match was held in the Price Athletic Center at the Valley Forge Military Academy at 6 p.m.

The Lady Bears were 23-5 heading into the district title match and fought hard in the final set, winning 25-20, 25-18, 26-24. Their record improves to 24-5 as they prepare for the NJCAA National Volleyball Championships in Phoenix, Arizona from November 19 to 21, where they will compete with 15 other teams for a national title. The Lady Bears repeated as Region XIX Champs in 2015, which propelled them into this year’s District final. Going into the match, Ana Jurisic had earned Region XIX Player of the Year honors, and Daydria Walker was named first-team all-region.
