Harcum Slates Grand Opening for New Art & Design Center

Bryn Mawr, PA – September 26, 2019 – A grand opening and ribbon cutting for Harcum College’s new Art & Design Center is slated for Monday, October 7, at 3 p.m., at 270 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue, in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours will be offered. Several classes offered at the Center will be in session for the tour.

The general public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting and grand opening and see the newly refurbished space in use. There is ample free parking available.

The Art & Design Center is the new home for the following majors: Art & Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Graphic Design, and Photography. The Center opened its doors to Harcum students with the start of fall classes on Monday, August 26.

Harcum took occupancy of the award-winning space, formerly The American College, in July 2019.

Presenters for the ribbon-cutting ceremony include Dr. Jon Jay DeTemple, President of Harcum College; Alexander Klein, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Julia Ingersoll, Executive Vice President; and John Hayden, Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Besides Art & Design programs, Harcum College offers associate degree programs in Allied Health, Business, and Social Sciences in many career-ready majors.

Harcum will host an event called the Art & Design Experience on Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Art & Design Center that offers prospective students immersive, hands-on workshops. To register, visit harcum.edu/adexperience.
