Harcum Students Help The Red Paw

Vet-Tech students have made a big contribution to the nonprofit.

Students in the Veterinary Technician program organized a t-shirt and sweatshirt sale to raise funds for a local non-profit. After selling all their custom shirts, the final total was just over $1,000. The money was donated to Red Paw Emergency Relief.

Red Paw is a 501(c) (3) emergency services nonprofit that works with the American Red Cross and other public and private disaster relief, social service, and animal welfare organizations to provide emergency transport, shelter, and veterinary care to animals involved in residential fires and other disasters.

The COO and founder of Red Paw visited the Harcum campus on Tuesday, September 22 to speak to one of the Vet Tech classes about their mission and service. The class used this opportunity to present the organization with their fundraising check. The students hope to continue supporting the non-profit and educating others on how they can do the same.
