Harriton High School Makes Philly Mag's '40 Best' List
The magazine looked at 127 suburban schools and 81 schools in the city to come up with the area's 40 best.

BRYN MAWR, PA — A new list from Philadelphia Magazine lays out the best high schools in and around Philadelphia. And of course Harriton High School made the list.
The magazine published "The 40 Best Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs" recently after looking at public data Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of education and the National Center for Education Statistics.
"These schools make up the top fifth of our separate rankings of Philadelphia district and charter schools (81 total) and suburban public schools in the Greater Philadelphia region (127 total)," the magazine said.

According to the magazine, Harriton has 1,210 students with a 98 percent graduation rate and a 94 percent college attendance rate.

It's got an 11:1 student-teacher ratio and have average 614 verbal and 607 math SAT scores.
