Interior Design Portfolio Show
Harcum College seniors showcase their talents at an annual event.
The remarkable talents of Harcum College’s Interior Design Program students were showcased April 27 at the annual Interior Design Program Portfolio Show in the Kevin D. Marlo Little Theatre on Harcum's Bryn Mawr campus.
Featuring works by seven graduating seniors, the Portfolio Show focused on manually and digitally created designs for living and working spaces in a variety of unique and exciting settings ranging from private homes to inviting public spaces covering a range of current design projects.
Design majors Farida Capellan, Samantha Denaro, Mallory Frank, Betsy Grossman, Darija Jurisic, Hannah Kenny, and Mila Lee addressed residential, commercial, hospitality, and healthcare projects during
their Harcum careers. The show documented their academic journeys at Harcum College and the textures, colors, and shapes that have inspired them over the last two years of study.

The Interior Design Program Director is Heidi Techner IDEC, Educator Partner ASID, DVGBC. “Teaching the Portfolio class is one of the best parts of my job, and this year I was fortunate enough to work with seven
feisty and fabulous "up-and-coming" Interior Designers,” Techner said. Each one of these students, although uniquely diverse, provided support, strength, kindness, and challenges to each other throughout the year.
Their accomplishments in the Interior Design program were amazingly displayed in this year’s Portfolio Show, but what's equally impressive is how their supportive relationships fostered learning and a deep sense
of connectivity. Although I'm sad to see them leave, I can't wait to see what they do next.”
Harcum Interior Design graduates are well prepared for the world of work. From 2011-2016, 100 percent of Interior Design graduates were employed in the field prior to or within six months after graduation.
