Mike Prushan, Business Program Director, judged the Personal Finance Event for Pennsylvania DECA. This was his second year judging this event. DECA has been in existence for over 70 years. It focuses on cultivating and developing business leaders and entrepreneurs beginning at the high school level. The national organization impacts the lives of more than ten million students, educators, school administrators, and business professionals. Many local chapters across Pennsylvania and the country connect motivated business students and their high schools with teaching and learning opportunities.
Prushan judged 36 students presenting case studies during the event. Two individual students won a chance to head to Nationals and compete with high school students from around the country, April 26-29, 2017 in Anaheim, CA. Prushan was also invited to be a judge at Nationals.
Marcus Swinson, Assistant Program Director, promoted Harcum College Business Programs to interested students during the event held February 22 – 24, 2017 at the Hershey Lodge.
