Main Point Books, 1041 West Lancaster Ave. Bryn Mawr, PA
Edgar Award nominee Lyndsay Faye's homage to Jane Eyre is a brilliant and rollicking recasting of the classic tale of an orphan girl in 19th century England. Imagine a version of Charlotte Bronte's novel that fuses the passionate yet meek Jane with all of the repressed sexuality and justifiable anger of Bertha Mason, leaven with a dash of humor and a splash of the anti-imperialism of Wilkie Collins and you could easily end up with this book. Reader, I loved it.
