Kids Eat Local: Fuji Mountain
Find out how kid-friendly Fuji Mountain in Bryn Mawr is.

We know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Fuji Mountain is a good place to eat with your children.
Restaurant:
Is there a kids’ menu? Not officially, but there are definitely kid friendly items. As a Japanese food lover, I understand that it may not seem like the most kid-friendly, but in my experience I find that kids tend to like the unagi (soy-glazed cooked eel) because it's sweet and savory. Tamago (the egg custard) is also cooked and sweet and a hit with the kids. The udon noodles are a favorite as is the shrimp tempura. I observed the table next to us with two children no more than 8 years old as they ordered tuna sushi and California rolls.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? Aside from the fried items, most of the food here is healthy. The salads, soups, sushi rolls and other fish items are very heart healthy.
How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert the staff, and they will try to accommodate you as best they can.

Is there a diaper changing station? Yes, there is one in the ladies room.
How difficult is it to maneuver a stroller through the dining area? Not too difficult.
Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention, or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? It depends on how filled the dining room is. When we went in, the room was practically filled and a small cry would go unnoticed.
