Lancaster Ave. In Bryn Mawr Seeing Nightly Work

BRYN MAWR, PA – A portion of Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr will see PECO work nightly this week and a curb lane will close as a result of the work, according to Lower Merion Township.
Work will take place between County Line Road and Montrose Avenue Monday, Aug. 28 through Friday, Sept. 1.
PECO crews will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the following morning. The eastbound curb lane will be close during that time, the township said.

The road will be open to traffic, however, the township said.
Additionally, Lancaster Avenue is affected by work this week in Radnor Township.

According to PennDOT, the Lancaster Avenue will close nightly between Route 320/Spring Mill Road and Ithan Avenue Monday, Aug. 28 through Thursday, Aug. 31.
The closures will begin each day at 8 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the following morning
During the closure, Lancaster Avenue motorists will be directed to use Spring Mill Road, Conestoga Road, County Line Road, and Bryn Mawr Avenue, PennDOT said
Prior to each night’s closure, from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. and 6 PM to 8 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound and westbound Lancaster Avenue between Spring Mill Road and Ithan Avenue, PennDOT said.
Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses and will be maintained up to the construction zone during the overnight closure.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time when traveling near the work area because backups will occur.
