Local Addiction Group Holds Annual Spring Brunch In Gladwyne
A young woman in recovery who speaks about addiction and mental health at forums was presented the Conversation Youth Inspiration Award.

GLADWYNE, PA — Be a Part of the Conversation held its 3rd Annual Spring Brunch Sunday at the home of Joe and Mary Fenkel in Gladwyne.
The Conversation Inspiration Award was presented to PA Attorney General Josh Shapiro. Robert Reed, JD, Executive Deputy Attorney General, accepted the award in Shapiro's absence.
The Conversation Youth Inspiration Award was presented to Kristen Harootunian, a 21-year-old in recovery who speaks about addiction and mental health at forums for both students and parents.

Other speakers included Dr. Caroline Fenkel, LCSW, honorary event chair; Kim Porter, CFRS, Executive Director of Be a Part of the Conversation; Board of Directors incoming president, Casey Duffy; U.S. Congresswoman, Madeleine Dean; parent advocates and meeting organizers, Pam and Bill Roberts; and Board of Directors President, John Mergenthaler.
Be a Part of the Conversation addresses substance use, misuse and addiction and its impact on individuals and their families by building a culture of awareness and support.
