Local Post Offices Won't Have Extended Hours Monday
Federal tax returns need to be postmarked today.

For those waiting until the last minute to file tax returns, you should know that the Philadelphia District of the United States Postal Service will not have any offices with extended hours this year.
USPS spokesperson Cathy Yarosky told Patch that according to the IRS, about 80 percent of all tax returns will be filed electronically this year, so the mail service's volume is down considerably.
So there will be no extended hours and no ‘midnight’ postmarks, she said.
