Local Student's Patriotism Garners Local, State Recognition

BRYN MAWR, PA – Five local students brought home top prizes in a contests sponsored by the Sons of the American Revolution.

Seventh grade students from Ss. Colman-John Neumann participated in the Americanism Brochure Contest and won first place in state and local levels, as well as second and third place with a few honorable mentions.

This brochure contest was started by the Sons of the American Revolution to encourage middle school students to develop a brochure showing what they have learned about “One of the Nation’s Five Founding Documents."

The winners are:

• Carly Morris - First Place Local Chapter, First Place State Level
• Catherine Voegele - 2nd prize
• Mallory McHale- 3rd prize
• Matt McCabe - Honorable Mention
• Maria Wahba- Honorable Mention
