Main Line Chamber State of the House at Harcum College

Approximately 70 Main Line Chamber members attended the State of the House event September 6 at Harcum College’s Little Theater, along with Harcum Board of Trustees Chair Ted Rosen, Board Treasurer Denis Boyle, Harcum President Jon Jay DeTemple, and Dr. Edward D’Alessio, Director of Government & Community Relations. Introductions were made by MLC's Government Affairs Committee member Don Legreid, General Council at Crozer Keystone Health System, and the discussion with the legislators was moderated by MLC President Bernard Dagenais.

The wide-ranging topics covered in the presentation by the state representatives included infrastructure, transportation and fuel costs and related taxes, public school funding, state-funded retirement programs and benefits, and state liquor system privatization.

 This was the second such Main Line Chamber members’ meeting to be held at Harcum since 2011, when Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley was a guest speaker.
