Main Line Church Hosting Pet Blessings Oct. 7
Whether you have dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, etc., you can give them God's blessing in early October at a Main Line church.
A Main Line church is inviting those with pets to a blessing event on Saturday, Oct. 7 in honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
Christ Church Ithan, located at 536 Conestoga Road, Villanova, will host the two pet blessing events that day.
At 10 a.m. in the Harford Dog Park, 260 Gulph Creek Road in Wayne, dogs can get blessings from Fr. John Sosnowski. Then at noon, the church will host an "all pets" blessing ceremony on the church's front lawn.

“Our pets are so special to us," Sosnowski said. "This blessing gives us a chance to pause for a moment and give thanks for our pets and celebrate all of God’s wonderful gifts of creation."
The two blessing events are open to the public.
