The Medical Laboratory Technician program is pleased to announce they were officially granted continued accreditation after the September meeting of the NAACLS Board of Directors. The accreditation will be in effect until October 31, 2021, when the program will again submit a self-study report and coordinate a site visit for re-evaluation.
Congratulations to all the students and faculty that worked to achieve this milestone.
Pictured above are Medical Laboratory Technology students in the new Lab Science Lab in OMGC. The lab sciences programs, including Phlebotomy and Histotechnology, moved to OMGC in 2013. The lab, classrooms, and offices are located on the second floor, in the wing adjacent to the gymnasium.

“The addition of the new state-of-art lab will provide lab science students with modern equipment and accommodations to enhance their laboratory experience prior to attending their clinical practicum,” reports program director Donna Broderick.
