Police Release More Details About Bryn Mawr Drug Bust

Joann Badey, 53, and her son, George Badey, 24, have been charged with distributing drugs after an investigation that began on Nov. 9.

Radnor Police have released additional details regarding a mother and son drug dealing operation they say was being operated out of a Bryn Mawr residence.

Joann Badey, 53, and her son, George Badey, 24, have been charged with distributing drugs after an investigation that began on Nov. 9.

Police said they learned that marijuana was being distributed from the Garrett Avenue residence via a referral service. Authorities say officers made two undercover purchases of marijuana at the residence between Nov. 9 and 12.

Then, on Friday, Nov. 13, police executed a search warrant at the residence and found the following items:

  • Nearly one pound of marijuana
  • $814 in cash
  • Nine individual packages of Heroin
  • Numerous prescription medication pills
  • Various drug paraphernalia including empty packages of suspected Heroin, scales, pipes/bongs, packaging materials, numerous empty glass jars etc.

Both Joann Badey and George Badey were remanded to Delaware County Prison after failing to post bail. A third person, Jean Boller, 24, was arrested at the residence for possession of Xanax during the execution of the search warrant.
