Mummers to "strut off" the Philly Friendship Circle Walk!

Mummers to "strut off" the Philly Friendship Circle Walk!

The Friendship Circle of the Philadelphia Region South is holding a benefit walk-a-thon on Sunday, October 26th on the campus of Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, PA. The event starts at 1:30 p.m., rain or shine, with Mummers on hand to kick off – make that strut off – the walk!

The event raises awareness for youth with special needs and helps to fund the various programs that the Friendship Circle holds throughout the year. The event is expected to draw 700 walkers, families, and supporters; about 160 of whom are teenage volunteers involved in Friendship Circle programs.

The walk is a family event with a 1.5 K “Family (and Wheelchair) Friendly” Trail as well as a 5K Trail; and a Fun Fair where children and families can make Mummers hats or have their photos taken wearing authentic Mummers costumes!
