Nearby News: One Arrested, One Dead In Bensalem Hotel Shooting

At least one suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting and barricade situation at a Bensalem motel on Saturday, 6ABC has reported.

At least one person is dead, reports say.

The incident unfolded at the Knights Inn on Lincoln Highway around 3 p.m. Saturday when a suspect fired shots as police served an arrest warrant at the Knights Inn. The suspect then barricaded himself in a hotel room, according to NBC10 news.

A reporter with CBS3 Tweeted there was an “active shooter” and that one suspect was barricaded.

There is currently a heavy police presence at the inn, witnesses say. A SWAT team and negotiator were summoned to the scene, scanner audio indicates.

Route 1 was shut down in both directions between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard

Local officers have called for assistance from Philadelphia Police, 6ABC reports.
