Popular Main Line Café Opening Third Location In The Region
Known for its seasonal menus and community-focused atmosphere, the bakery will debut an exclusive pastry during grand-opening weekend.
BRYN MAWR, PA — The Buttery, a popular Main Line café and bakery known for its seasonal menus and community-focused atmosphere, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in Bryn Mawr this weekend.
The new café, located at 836 W Lancaster Ave., brings The Buttery's signature offerings of breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea, pastries and artisan breads to the café's third location.
To mark the occasion, customers visiting during grand-opening weekend can try a special pastry created exclusively for the Bryn Mawr launch: a lemon poppy kouign amann, described as "layers of house made creamy poppy seed spread and lemon sugar are folded into croissant dough, creating sweet, zesty pockets as it bakes, then finished with a bright lemon glaze and candied lemon."

"At The Buttery, everything we do is rooted in creating spaces where people can gather, connect and feel at home," co-owner John Rhoads said in a statement. "We’re excited to bring that same sense of community to Bryn Mawr and to continue growing in neighborhoods that value thoughtful food and meaningful experiences."
The Buttery was founded in Malvern in 2015. Last fall, the café opened a second location in Ardmore. An additional location is planned for Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood later this year.
