Radnor Schools Hosting Kindergarten Readiness Presentation

Those sending their kids to Kindergarten for the first time might want to attend this event to make the process easier.

BRYN MAWR, PA — Sending your kids to Kindergarten can be a tough thing. Luckily, the Radnor Township School District is hosting a Kindergarten Readiness Program to make the process smoother.

The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Ithan Elementary School. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Attendees will learn about the district's kindergarten program and curriculum as well as learning more about supporting their child's development.

Additionally, they will learn how to prepare students for kindergarten, what a kindergartner's day looks like, and How to register students for kindergarten.

Other topics of discussion will include RTSD's kindergarten curriculum and ways to help your child grow physically and mentally.

Time will be allotted for question and answer session following the presentation.

Staff from Radnor Township School District and the Radnor Memorial Library, as well as volunteers from the Radnor Township School District parent- teacher organizations will lead the presentation.

Light refreshments will be provided and complimentary childcare (registration required) is available for children over 3 years old.

Families should not that due to a change in Policy 201, Admission of Students on Jan. 28, 2020, township children must be at least 5-years-old by Sept. 1 of their kindergarten year for admission to kindergarten beginning the 2020-2021 school year.

Ithan Elementary School is located at 695 Clyde Road in Bryn Mawr.
