Resist The Urge To Search For Missing Shipley Teen, School Asks

"The family has confidence that the authorities are doing all that can be done to find him," Shipley's head of school said.

Shipley School school officials are asking the community to "resist any urge" to participate in a search for a student who was reported missing Wednesday.

In an email to the school community that was shared on Facebook, Steve Piltch, Shipley's Head of School, said he has been in communication with Austin Wylie's family.

The family told Piltch they are confident authorities are "doing all that can be done" to find Wylie, he said. "It is with this in mind that the family requests that we resist any urge to participate in a search."
